Celebrating his return to the United States from the Royal Conservatory in Canada, pianist Brian Woods presents "Echoes of the Nostalgic," a musical journey through the greatest compositions of the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Join us as he travels from boisterous Haydn to dazzling Chopin and colorful Debussy, exploring the lessons and inspirations we can receive from composers who transformed their adversities into enduring masterpieces.
Praised for his "heroism and convincing technique" (ArtsNash), pianist Brian Woods has emerged as a compelling artist of international acclaim. He has recently enjoyed his solo debut in Koerner Hall in Toronto, Ontario, as well as his debut with the Chamber Music Society of St. Louis alongside Maestro Leonard Slatkin. Following successes in the Neapolitan Masters Competition, Verona International Piano Competition, and Artist Presentation Society Auditions, he has given recital and concerto performances throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
